Pulitzer for Distracted Driving Reporter

In our report on distracted driving we mention the important role that Matt Richtel’s Driven to Distraction series in the New York Times played in publicizing the research on the risks of distracted driving. Richtel was way out ahead of the story and deserves a lot of credit for keeping the issue on people minds over the past year and a half. Now, that credit has come from the most high profile source for a journalist:  Richtel was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting.

Well done, Matt.
