More on Cyclists’ visit to LaHood

What a way to celebrate the end of National Bike Month? Dozens of cyclists representing all of the national bicycling advocacy organizations biked down the new bike lanes on Pennsylvania Avenue to the US Department of Transportation headquarters to deliver a thank you to Secretary Ray LaHood for his policy statement on bicycling and walking, which he announced at the National Bike Summit.

Transportation for America put together this great video that pretty well captures the day. The Secretary even posted it on his Fast Lane blog.

For the record, headlines that I resisted for this post include “Beautiful day for our neighbor, LaHood” and “Boys ‘n LaHood,” as well as any reference to a Ray of sunshine.
