Hi Todd,

Last year (FY2010) the TCSP awards ranged from about $50K to $1.8 million. The median was $470K. That includes projects that were earmarked.

Here's the project list: http://www.fhwa.dot.gov/tcsp/grantaward.cfm?fy=2010&show=n

Michigan, for example, funded three projects:

Bike Path between Lexington and Port Sanilac, MI ($235,804)

Mount Clemens non-motorized trail along North-bound Gratiot, Mount Clemens, MI ($542,350)

Pedestrian Path for the City of New Baltimore, MI ($235,804)

We'd love to work with you on this. Shoot me an email (darren [at] bikeleague [dot] org). Your chances are best if you have a project that is already included in a planning document and a supportive agency partner to submit that application. Busy agency will sometimes welcome assistance from advocates in completing the applications.

One of the priority considerations is that the project "Demonstrate a commitment to public and private involvement, including the involvement of nontraditional partners in the project team." We could help demonstrate community support.

Thanks for posting this information, Darren.

Two questions:
Do you know the TCSP grant size range?
What is the process for working with the Advocacy Advance staff on a TCSP grant application?
