Thanks, Washcycle.

Hi, Rachel. Yes, the House passed an additional extension. And they did so before they got to the end of the current one. They are using it, essentially, as their bill with which to conference with the Senate's MAP-21. They made a few amendments to current law (notably Keystone) but they didn't make major policy changes to the funding programs. The House has not been able to pass H.R. 7, which was a 5-year bill, so this counts as their bill.

The first two links in the post refer Wednesday's legislation as an extension. The fourth link in the post is about HR 7, not Wednesday's vote. Sorry if that was confusing.

Thanks for following this. Please let me know if I need to explain further.

I believe that cycling and commuting in general are becoming such an important part of our lives that very soon they will wake up. Just like everything else that hits the House. It takes time to actually get it going, but we'll get there!!

Rachel. This bill actually extends funding through the end of the fiscal year which is September 30. The previous bill extended funding to June 30. So, the bill for the year will come so late, that it will only cover 90 days.

I'm confused. March 30 you posted that the House passed a 90-day extension. Today you say the House passed a 90-day extension yesterday, and you link to an article that does not call it an extension at all, but a 5 yr bill. And that is what I heard yesterday--that the House had passed their own version.

Please clarify what is going on. Thank you!
